Craigslist is one of the most frequently visited sites on the Internet. There's a version of it in 50 countries with city-specific sites for some 570 locales worldwide. People use the List's extensive classifieds system for a variety of reasons. They're looking for work, romance, activity partners, barter or just a place to voice their opinions. Some of these people are decent, intelligent and reasonable.

I'm not interested in those people.

The Craigslist Files is a project that began in 2008 with the goal of compiling a thorough cross-section of the worst, most ridiculous posts ever committed to the ephemeral pages of Craig Newmark's minimalistic monster. Every week we take a gander at a few choice selections from the bottom of the barrel in the hopes of finding some kind of insight into the human condition, or barring that at least a few laughs.
