College Humor has compiled a list of 2011's funniest videos, and the months during which they were released. I had forgotten about the eHarmony dater who really loves cats and the ham face girl, and I had never seen the adorable Mini Warbler (from Glee) video. Let's take a look at some of College Humor's picks for the funniest, most inspirational and most disgusting videos of 2011:
Ted Williams. Ted Williams is the hardscrabble homeless man who became an overnight sensation with his Dick Clark-esque, radio announcer voice. The Columbus, Ohio man was invited to CBS and other news outlets for interviews. Since his appearance, Williams has been offered many voice-over opportunities and places to live, but has also struggling with his own alcoholism and emotional stability, checking in and out of rehab several times.
Guilty Dog. This is one of the most adorable videos that made the rounds on the Internet this year. In it, an owner wants to find the culprit of the crime of eating the kitty treats, and his yellow lab, Denver, can't keep her poker face. She can't meet his eyes, and she grimaces at his call for her to confess. Since her video went viral, Denver has been a talk show celebrity with stints on ABC news and elsewhere. Her owners have also established a website to sell Denver merchandise.
Cute Old Couple Discover Webcam. It's hard to tell whether or not Oregonians Bruce and Esther Huffman know that they have their new webcam on. It's funnier if you think they don't know. Regardless, it still looks like they have quite a bit of fun with each other: Bruce makes funny faces and sings songs into the camera while Esther bemoans her inability to make the thing take a picture. Everyone can hope to be as happily partnered as are the Huffmans.
eHarmony Girl Really Loves Cats. Debbie loves cats. In fact, the entirety of her video is expressing her love for cats, rather than, you know, her want for a romantic partner. The brilliance of this video comes from the thought that Debbie may not be an actress, and that she might really love cats that much. Her video isn't too far off from the weirdness of a lot of other dating videos. The real-life actress, Cara Hartmann, also has a pop song on her webpage called "Can't Hug Every Cat."
